My
name is Tony Davis, owner of Lee Kennels. I want to begin by telling
you a little about myself. I love bird hunting, birddogs and
everything that’s in between. I started hunting quail in northwest
Alabama when I was 16 yrs. old. I was “hooked” on bird
hunting from the very first time out.
I
didn’t actually start raising any dogs until about 1992. I
had come to the point where I could not find the type of dog that I
wanted to hunt with. I bought a female that was carrying pups by
Elhew Damascus; her name was Pinehill Rambling Nell. This was the
beginning of long and enjoyable journey that has brought me to this
point. I have sold puppies and started dogs to people from
California to North Carolina and Florida to New York. I only raise 4 to 6
litters of puppies a year. When I first started, I tried raising a
lot more, but working a full time job and shift work at that, I soon
realized that I could only raise just a few litters a year.
I have met people from all over the country, and with the
exception of a very few, I can honestly say that bird dog people are
the best you will find. As I have made this journey I have found
that some people will not always tell you the truth, as I have been
stuck more than once on dogs. I hope that I have not knowingly lied
to anyone about a dog, for I know how it feels. Although I would
like to say that every puppy that I raise and sell will turn out to
be the dog of your dreams, well it is just that, only a dream. The
huge part of what makes up the outcome of a particular dog has to do
with what happens from the time frame of when I sell a pup at
8wks.old until they become a finished dog; therefore I only have a
small part of this outcome. That being said, my job as breeder is to
always do my very best at raising the finest bred /quality puppies
that I can. I try to breed dogs that will be able to hunt in the
south; if I accomplish this, they will be able to hunt anywhere. The
prices of our pups are $650.00. If you are interested in a pup out of
any of my dogs, a $100.00 deposit will reserve one for you. My
started dogs vary in price from $1000.00 to $1500.00. Pictures
of my male and female brood stock will be found on the following
